norwood being questioned at the morning after jayna murray was killed. we've contracting the testimony. >> this afternoon a crime scene technician on the stand introducing a very bloody video of the inside of lululemon store proved too much for a couple of jayna murray's friends. they jumped up and got out. but the most important thing that happened today was the playing of brittany norwood's first interview with police. for the first time, they heard her voice as the state played audio of her first statement to police. in court norwood bowed her head and closer eyes as her voice told the tale of an attack by two masked men on her and her co-worker. she described how a man repeatedly hit her and there

was so much blood. she claimed he -- and she claimed she was brutally sexually assaulted but the nurse to examine norwood testified there was no evidence of such an assault. her defense attorney admitted this story was an inept attempted cover-up. last month, brittany norwood did kill jayna murray at the bethesda store where they worked. they claim that happened in a fight and it is not first-degree murder. prosecutors are carefully presenting all of the technical evidence to the jury to proof norwood did plan the killing and cover-up. grisly evidence a technician explained how tools from the lululemon store including a hammer, a boxcar knives and a long kitchen knives were likely the weapons used to it minister at least 322 blows to jayna murray.

they say the european deal is vague and details need to be examined. but it is a sign of progress and we are on pace for the biggest monthly gain in history. new allegations surfacing in a corruption scandal around the mayor. sulaimon brown said evincing gray gave him talking points to use against adrian fenty. an investigation was launched after brown accused grey's campaign after the accused him of giving him cash and promising a job. the mayor has denied the allegations. john edwards failed to persuade judge to dismiss criminal charges against him. he is charged with using campaign money to cover up at a fair and submitting false campaign finance reports. he maintains he is innocent and is pleading not guilty. the trials to begin in january.

a decision to change the names of several metro stations has been put on the back burner. the board decided to hold a public hearing on the matter on november 3rd. however, metro approved some service changes. some blue line trains will follow yellow trains throughout the district. part of the plan to alleviate congestion on the orange line. tomorrow metro will launch a free transfer system between the north and west stations. still to come, another merkel in turkey -- another survivor pulled from the rubble of four days after the earthquake. we will show you how neiman- marcus is changing their payment policy to attract more customers. in the middle of the capital beltway, the improvements happening here that could change your commute.
